Bearing 050° from Cascade, Idaho at a distance of 34.4 miles

Pistol lake is in the Frank Church Wilderness area, just inside the border. The drive from Cascade, Idaho was 53 miles and took 2 hours to drive to the trailhead. The trail is in good shape. The hike was 4.4 miles round trip. Seen numerous signs of wolf tracks on the trail close to the lake area.
